We have closed our Paypal account. We have had a Paypal account open for approximately 6 years. Suddenly on 10 SEP 07, we were notified that our account has been closed. When we called them to find out what the problem was they said their investigation was closed and that we had violated their acceptable business policies and there was essentially no recourse. The representative told us that she could not tell us what we had done wrong, but said the typical reasons were that they had done their investigation and found "unacceptable materials" (such as anything German WWII) or weapons related, or that we had participated in a ebay auction with offensive materials. We encourage you to learn more about the paypal company and their services, policies and regulations before utilizing their services. We have found, in our case, that they can close your account with basically no warning and almost no way to resolve the problem. Also they are not Federally insured which most banks are.
