Photos from traveling through Europe! LAST UPDATED ON: 2008-01-09

These are a few photos from Europe to the points where we traveled.

-The first is of Kevin holding a shell that was stacked along side a farm road where a farmer had dug them up just this season. -Next was taken before the ceremony started for the five Australian soldiers from the 51st Battalion, the Far North Queensland Regiment. -The third photo was taken while the fourth solider was being laid to rest. The Chaplain was carrying a WWI brass shell casing filled with dirt from the original site in Australia where the men received there training before departing for Belgium. The soldier standing to his right is carrying another shell casing filled with water from the harbor in Australia where the men had departed. -The fourth photo is of the current site of the Malmedy Massacre in Baugnez, Belgium. -Next is an original photo for comparison to the previous photo. This was taken in January 1945 before the bodies of the Americans were removed. -Sixth is of Wally during our dig finding one of the 26 British Mills bomb grenades. -Last is Kevin with the final find standing in the hole where they were found. The original site being in the location of a British supply trench line.
