AV-754 WW II Era Aviator's Headgear Set, MK VIII, Type C, A-14, T-30

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #16672

WW II Era aviator’s headgear set as utilized by airmen of the 8th and 9th Air Force flying out of England. USAAC flyers often wore British flight gear as some thought it superior. Leather helmet is a RAF Type C First Type, size 1. No avionics. Very good condition and shows light to moderate use. Oxygen mask is an A-14 model size medium and dated 5-45. It is in VG + condition. Goggles are the British MK VIII model. These were the ultimate British RAF goggles and were the last used before the introduction of the fiberglass helmet. Their condition is VG other than the elastic strap which has become stretched with age. A fold and a few stitches would correct that for display. The throat mike is a T-30 made by Universal in Inglewood, California. VG condition. Great group as worn by many US airmen in the ETO.
