Item #18965
This is a great Pre-WWI Imperial Austro-Hungarian Officers Sword. This is a beautiful example for a high ranking officer. The sword has very ornate solid brass fittings, dark blue sharkskin grips, dark navy blue leather wrapped scabbard, 1867-1915 double eagle coat of arms on basket guard, FJ1 (Franz Josef 1st, King of Austria-Hungary) cypher on top of scabbard, 32 inch triple engraved blade, 13.5 inch panels with six vignettes shown below, plated steel, straight, perfect tip, maker: Weyersberg Stamm Solingen, definitely worn up to and including WWI, light to moderate overall wear. The paint is flaking in places on the scabbard but has an overall nice appearance. Also has portapee which is in fair to good condition.
