Item #19126
This is a nice WWII British No.1 MkIII Enfield Rifle of this classic workhorse of the British Army in WWI and WWII. This rifle was manufactured by BSA, Co (Birmingham Small Arms, Co) in 1940. It has been internally deactivated to BATFE Specs and can never be made to fire again. However it looks and feels like a live rifle: bolt functions, you can dry fire it, safety works, Mag is removable, it will mount a bayonet etc. It looks and feels like a live rifle. It will show use and some age but is over a good VG example. This rifle has the typical dings and scratches for a service rifle. There is a spot on the stock where a brass ID disc was removed ad could be easily replaced. This rifle was made into a "Drill Purpose" rifle after it was deemed not serviceable anymore. This rifle has DP stamped into the receiver, carved into the stock as well as a white stripe painted around the stock.
