BXD-0001, WWI British Enfield Rifle (deactivated/ non-firing)

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #17404

Good+ example of this classic workhorse of the British Army in WWI. Many of these saw continued service up and into WWII. This Enfield rifle was made in 1929 by BSA (Birmingham Small Arms, Co). This particular rifle was made into drill rifle by the British Army and so it has "DP" carved into the butt stock. It has been internally deactivated to BATF Specs and can never be made to fire again. However it looks and feels like a live rifle: bolt functions, you can dry fire it, safety works, Mag is removable, it will mount a bayonet etc. It looks and feels like a live rifle. It will show use and some age but is over a good – VG example.
