Reproduction example. (Spanienkreuz in Bronze mit Schwertern). Constructed of bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central raised swastika inside of a pebbled ring, with crossed swords piercing the center and Luftwaffe eagles clutching mobile swastikas between the quadrants, the reverse with a barrel hinge and straight pinback meeting a round wire catch. Marked L/11 for with the stamped manufacturers code indicating Wilhelm Deumer of Luedenscheid. Measuring approximately 57 mm (h) x 57 mm (w), weighing 26 grams, in very good ++ condition. No flaws. Exquisite detail. Comes with box that is not correct for the Spanish Cross. Issued to participants of the Condor Legion that participated in and assisted Franco and the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War from July 1936 to March 1939.  Reproduction example.
