This is M1861 manufactured by Bridesburg in 1863. The overall condition is good + condition. The overall stock condition is good used condition with the typical dings and scratches for a service rifle. The metal has a dark grey/ brown patina. The barrel and upper section of the lock has a fair amount of pitting from use. The lock markings are fairly good with some minor pitting. The barrel bands are similar to the M1861 Colt band where they are not held on with barrel springs but instead are held on by screws. A nice rifle with an overall nice appearance at a low price.
