Item #15625
Large cavalryman's pistol (approximately .75 caliber and almost 14 inches overall length). This is a conversion of a flintlock pistol that dates from the Napoleonic Period (barrel is dated 1810). Lock is marked from the the St. Etienne Arsenal - markings are a bit worn but fully readable. The lock and hammer have darkened with age and have spotting of light pitting. The rest of the metal is fairly clean, with no issues. There are aresenal stamps / markings at various places on the barrel and fittings. Stock number matches barrel number. Wood shows light age / wear with nice patina. Pistol mechanically functions, but is not sold as a shooter. Comes with a reproduction cleaning / loading rod. Overall condition is Antique, Very Good.
