Item #15626
Has reproduction cleaning / loading rod. Converted from a flint lock. Lock is marked "Ketland & Co" and brass barrel is marked "London" and has British proof marks. It is approximately .58 caliber and has an overall length of just over 13 inches. It has an internal spring problem so although it cocks it will not fire and you have to manually return the hammer. The gun shows moderate+ age and wear with some pitting to the lock plate (nothing dramatic). The brass guard, barrel and cleaning / loading rod fitting have some light florishes, giving it a slightly fancy look. The wood shows age and character with some old repairs around the lock plate. Dings and hairline cracks. The brass barrel indicates this was a naval officers pistol. Neat looking!
