Item #15627
Large cavalryman's pistol (approximately .75 caliber), Mutzig Arsenal marked lock, M1856 stamped on barrel near nipple (believe this was the year the pistol was converted from flintlock). Has Arsenal markings on barrel, tank, wood, and metal fittings (both brass and steel). Metal has some light pitting, but is mostly age stained. No real issues, just the age / wear you'd expect on a 150+ year old pistol that saw moderate use. Mechanically functions (but not sold as a shooter). neat old war horse. Overall length just under 14 inchesl Antique Very Good condition. Nice looking pistol.
