FR-147 1820’S FRENCH SERVICE PISTOL

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #5824

This is a percussion conversion of a flintlock pistol, Cal.70 that originally was made in the 1820’s (last digit of date illegible) and converted to percussion in 1861 (dated inside of lock). Good + condition. Has semi-faint markings, which are mostly legible. Lock works nicely, but not sold as a shooter. A grip dinged on one side (looks like it was used as a hammer) and has a hairline crack. Metal has a nice brown patina, no real pitting. Brass fittings give it a very attractive appearance. Complete with rod.
