FR-197, WWII US M1903 Springfield Rifle (demilled, non-firing)

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #16170

June 1942 manufactured by Remington it has its original 6-42 Remington barrel which matches the serial number production date. Condition is Good+. Metal finish is worn with approximately 40% remaining with patina (not rust). No pitting of note. Stock shows typical service wear with a few dings and scratches. There are four hair line cracks. Two on the left side of thw wrist and one on each side of the magazine. Demil is internal so this looks and feels like a live rifle, even though it cannot be made to shoot. The bolt functions and you can dry fire it. These saw extensive WWII service (dispite what Hollywood shows in the movies) in both the Eurpean and Pacific Theaters.
