Item #16827
Afghan Army cavalry Martini-Henry carbine. British made by the Braendlin Armory Co. and so marked o nthe receiver. It has the correct proofs on the barrel and top of the reciever. Its seen years of service. The blueing is worn and the metal has a brown patina (not rust) and surprisingly no pitting on the outside. The wood shows age and wear, nothing too dramatic except for a 3 inch crack in the butt (which should be repairable). Bore a bit rough but strong rifling remains. Butt plate is Afghan marked. Cleaning rod is a replacement. Functions but not sold as shooter. Original sling. Overall Good+ condition.
