FR-919. Indian War/Span-Am War U.S. M1873 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle.

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #9921

VG example of a late model 1873 .45-70 rifle. SE# indicates production in 1883. Metal parts are all nice – no pitting or excessive wear with most having 50+% blueing. Markings are clear and bore is bright. Wood shows typical wear and service dings and would rate good. Stock cartouches are present and readable. A 1” K is carved in it just forward of the trigger guard and faint numbers and the letter L are stenciled on the butt. Complete with cleaning rod. Action mechanically functions nicely, but not sold as a shooter due to age.
