Army/Navy 5735-1 Directional Gyroscope Indicator. Mfg. by Jack & Heintz Inc. (Jahco). Data plate is missing and tape in its place reads "JH 5500 1/A 001." Fragile decal on side is warped due to application but reads (approximately) "Fragile, This is a delicate instrument, Do not jar, Keep caged (when not in use), Handle like (eggs)." Cage knob still works but is stiff. Gauge is numbered in tens of degrees, from 0/36 to 35 for a full circle with marks every 5 degrees of rotation. For use in the B-29 Superfortress.
