GH-392, WW I German Prussian M1915 Spike Helmet (Pickelhaube)

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #13603

This is a good to very good example of a wartime made helmet having the grey metal fittings. This one has a faint maker’s stamp partially stamped twice inside the crown. Also there is a 1918 date stamp on the rear visor. Externally this helmet rates an easy good plus condition. The body is in exceptionally nice condition with minimal crazing (mainly on the visors) and few minor blemishes. The spike and other steel fittings have an even dark grey/ brown patina. One small rivit is missing to the top of the spike plate. Prussian cockades are aged copies. All other parts look to be original to the helmet. The liner is in excellent condition with also a size 53 ink stamp inside. Chinstrap is a aged reproduction.
