GM-512, Third Reich WHW Danzig Unification Postcards

This item is listed for historical interest only. It is not for sale.
Item #13303

At the end of WWI the Germans lost most of East Prussia (which became Poland). The city of Danzig was declared a "Free State" and seperated from Germany. Although placed under control of the League of Nations, its citizens considered themselves German. After the German (and Soviet) invasion of Poland in 1939, Danzig was German again and this postcard was printed and sold by the Nazi Winter Relief Organization (Winterhilfswerk) to commemorate the reunification. Condition is Very Good with minor age.
