SALE UWQ-0021-MAM WWII and Postwar Era US Document Grouping for USNR Shopkeeper
Item #22898
Small set of documents for USNR Chief Shopkeeper Hugh Thomas Layne. He enlisted on 8 October 1940 and was discharged on 2 December 1946. Included is an original of his Honorable Discharge which on the reverse has a synopsis of his service record. Microfilm printed copies of the same. An 8 by 10 studio portrait taken at the Sears and Roebuck in Houston, TX of a young woman, probably his wife or girlfriend at the time. Two original documents regarding his dependent mother and dependent wife. His original 1952 dated Bachelor's degree certificate from the University of Houston. One letter postmarked 24 February 1961 to him from Henry Walton regarding information about an engine.
