This helmet is in good to very good condition. We have some concerns with this helmet. The helmet itself is original, also the liner, chinstrap are also original. The paint to the exterior, decals and label inside have some questions to them. Regarding the paint, the interior appears to be original however the exterior appears to be a period re-paint as there is evidence of decals under the paint as well as some minor flaws and there is some age to the paint which makes us feel it was period done. The decals are not consistent with other period examples that we have seen and appear to have been aged with the application of a brown wash and chipping which is not consistent with the rest of the helmet. Additionally there is a label that has been applied to the inside that has the same color "ageing" applied to it. Overall this is a nice helmet that has some suspicious additions to it in our opinion. The price reflects our suspicions. Helmet is a size 58.
