Despite its mean look with the sawback blade these were for noncombatant members of the Redcross. The squared tip indicates its noncombatant status. The sawback was a tool not for injuring others. The condition is very good with a few minor issues. The bright blade has light age spotting. The tip shows wear, there is some minor bubbling to the finish on the pommel and cross guard. A hairline crack on the reverse grip, wear and light to moderate pitting to one side of the scabbard tip and crazing and wear to the scabbard finish. Leather frog is clean and supple. A decent example not perfect but nice. These were a tool and often reflect use.
