This is really a very high quality reproduction WWII German Iron Cross First Class that was made with a Japanese stamp on the pin to the rear. There were a limited number of original examples that were made during the war by jewelers in Japan for German dignitaries and U-boat crews. These originals are nearly impossible to find and are usually one piece and made of pure silver. This is a REPRODUCTION of one of these medals and is not made of pure silver. However it would make an excellent economy display piece where originals Iron Cross's can be in the $400 range.
