This is a damaged Richard Simme &
Sohne (R.S.S.) WWII German Infantry Assault Badge. The badge is damaged as the pin has been completely removed from the back. The badge has good detail but shows a fair amount of wear. Remember these were badges that were worn in combat and many saw extensive damage from everyday wear.
