GWU-0090-DB WWII German 2nd Lieutenant of The Infantry Combat Uniform Set

Price:  $2,869.95
Item #28295

This mannequin displays an entire uniform of a 2nd lieutenant of the infantry in a combat uniform. He is wearing an M-35 helmet with a single army decal in very good condition. An original helmet liner is present and has a chinstrap. Paint on the helmet is original and it retains about 90% of its combat paint. No noticeable dings or damage other than overall moderate age and wear. Decal is also approximately 90% with a wear spot midpoint that has removed one of the eagle's feet. Liner is original to helmet and is very good to very good+ with some light flaking around the rim. Leather remains strong and supple with all ears intact and it has its original tie cord. 1941 dated chinstrap looks aged but is a suspected reproduction.

He is wearing an early tunic (M36) of heavy wool and it is dated 1940 on the inside middle back. C4 LPZ is also stamped  with a 28. the 2nd lieutenant shoulder boards are reproduction. There is a length of EkII ribbon attached to a button hole. An officer quality army breast eagle is attached over the right breast pocket. On his chest is a signalling field flashlight in very good condition. It is marked "Pertrix Made in Germany." On the reverse it is marked RP-23. All buttons are present. There are two small holes on the back about 1/8" in diameter. A belt (very good and marked) with open claw buckle holds an officer's map case with eraser, pencils, and a protractor. Also present is a set of army maps of Italy. Hanging from the belt is also a canteen dated 1943 and is in very good+ condition.

He is wearing a pair of jodphur-style trousers in good condition with riding reinforcements. They show age and use. They are marked.

A pair of officer's high-top boots in very good condition completes the uniform.

Overall a nice representation of a German combat uniform in WWII.
