UIQ-0010-VIN 1920's Willson Goggles Co. Sunglasses in Original Box
Item #29788
Beautiful set of Art Deco era 1920's Willson Goggles Company sunglasses. Thomas A. Willson & Co. opened the first company to produce optical lenses in the United States in 1871 and the company would continue to produce goggles, glasses, and personal protective equipment for both the military and the public until the company closed in 2002. During this time, they outfitted pilots for both World Wars with aviator's goggles and high altitude masks as well as motorcycle and vehicle drivers with dust and wind goggles.
These civilian sunglasses are a faux tortoiseshell pattern. The glasses have the "WILLSON" stamp on right eye ring near the center. The box and tissue paper wrap are in good overall condition while the glasses are nearly mint condition.
