This auction is for an excellent World War Two Japanese Army Artillery spotting scope and case.  These are in excellent condition with really only minor wear to the scope.  There is a little more typical wear to the case at the bottom and back of the case however there is no noticeable damage in the way of dents or cracks to the original aluminum case.  There are Japanese characters to the front of the case in black paint, the case is painted the typical Japanese ordnance tan/brown.  The optics are clear however the right side appears to have some dirt in the optics but could be cleaned.  Additionally the focus appears to be a little stiff or is difficult to focus.  There is no other damage but simply storage wear to the optics primarily from the case.  The mount for the tripod is present and appears to work however no tripod is included with this auction.  The scope is marked in several places with Japanese characters and on the piece that connects the two halves of the scope.  There is also what appears to be a makers stamping near the 8 x 6.2 stamping showing the magnification of the scope.  Overall these are really in excellent shape for a rare set of optics especially with the combination of the case.
