GIQ-0001-CW InterWar Period German Identification Grouping
Item #17692
Grouping contains an Arbeitsbuch, Reisepass and Personal-Ausweiss, all Named to Ilse Eichenwald. She was born February 2, 1901. Married October 25, 1935 in Hamburg. On August 26th 1937, she was issued an immigration Visa by the American Consualte General in Hamburg.
1) Personal-Ausweiss. Missing photo. Issued by the Police Office in Duisburg. on May 31, 1924. Good condition. Notations are readable. Stamped on the front cover "Territoires occupes Besetztes Gebiet" meaning 'Occupied Territory'.
2) Deutsches Reich ReisePass. Issued on July 27, 1933 to her maiden name, with notations throughout documenting her name change. Numerous stamps through from Hamburg and Lubeck. Cover is worn and heavily used. Not torn but worn on the corners. Page corners show wear. All notations are clear and legible.
3) Arbeitsbuch. Issued to her married name. Notes that she had not children and can speak English. Issued August 13, 1936 in Hamburg and never used after issuance.. In like new condition. with very light storage age.
This is a great grouping from one woman who left Germany before the outbreak of WWII.
