This is an interesting piece which depicts an older bearded man holding a baby. On the wood base there is a written inscription that reads the following: Title is Child Doctor, "Don't Cry like that little boy!  I am not going to hurt you."  There is also an ink stamp on the bottom of the stand which is difficult to read.  The mans right foot has cracked at one time making the figure loose but he still stands on his own and can not be removed from the base.  Nice Folk Art piece.
