Item #13710

Two Framed service certificates named to the same soldier, a private in Company C, US 10th Infantry, who fought on Cuba in the Battles around Santiago. The regiment lost one officer and 40 men (KIA / WIA). -Frame #1 is a Company Roster that lists all of the men (he is a Private Benjamin W. Ash) along with information about their service. It is in a simple period black wooden frame approximately 17 1/2 inches by 23 1/2 inches. He added a 9 inch by 6 3/4 inch photo to the top. Overall condition is Very Good with some water staining at the bottom. -Frame #2 is a colorful lithograph pictoral chart that has handwritten information about Pvt Ash's service along with a photo of him in the center. It is in a great period plaster frame (approximately 22 1/2 inches by 29 inches). It has some edge damage. The lithograph has an old 3 inch tear at the top, which is not too noticeable. A neat / rare grouping that displays well.
