Item #18517
Very Good example of this rare competitor to the MP-40. Only 27,500 were made prior to the end of the war. These guns saw service with the field police and SS. This one consists of all original parts mounted on an original, non functional, demilled receiver. The receiver has been demilled to meet and exceed BATFE standards and can not be altered or made to fire. Please do not ask if it can be made to fire, the demil can not be reversed. Entire sections of the lower part of the receiver have been cut out and removed then additional blocks welded in to permanently demill the receiver. Internally the barrel and chamber area were cut and removed then welded solid. The gun has a dummy bolt which is welded in place, at the nose and tail, to have the appearance of an original but to further demil the gun. The original markings are still present on the top of the receiver. "M.P. 41 Patent Schmeisser, C.G. Haenel, Suhl." There are also at least 8 visible Waffen Amts across the metal surfaces of the gun. Although it does not fire it looks and feels like a live gun. Also included is the well marked rare MP-41 magazine. Marked "MP 41 patent Schmeisser" Also with Haenel surrounded by an arrow.
