16mm Disney film Peter and The Wolf was a "symphonic fairy tale for children" originally composed by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936 and animated by Walt Disney studios for a 1946 release date. Each character is represented by a different instrument. Very Fantasia-esque. 14 minute runtime. Technicolor and mono sound.
The head of the film has been repaired and the film has been re-spooled by the Educational Services of the Sonoma County Office of Education in Santa Rosa, CA. The canister is stamped "A Walt Disney 16mm Release" on the front and has "Peter and the wolf 1946" taped to the front. Also has "20361" written 3 instances: 2 on the front and one on the inside of the rear canister half. Rear canister half has "Walt Disney Educational Media Company" stamp.
