SAN FRANCISCO POLICE WW I ALIEN ENEMY REGISTRATION FORMS FOR GERMAN RESIDENTS

These 1917 and 1918 dated four page 8 ½” x 11” forms were issued to the S.F.P.D. by the Federal Government. It was the responsibility of the municipal police to maintain files on these aliens. Each form contains information on the subjects criminal record, family history, prior military service, relatives serving in the war (both allied and axis), etc. Each also has a photo of the alien and his/her fingerprints. Some are accompanied by supplemental paper work. All will be signed by a S.F.P.D. Corporal, Sergeant, or Inspector. An interesting “Home Front” item from the Great War with a local (S.F. Bay Area) twist. Makes a unique collectable for military buffs, San Francisco Historians, and Police collectors. Note: These forms were thrown out during a S.F. Hall of Justice clean up in the 1970’s and were saved from the trash heap by a person who recognized their historical values. $24.95 each or 2 for $39.95
