Item #606
This was an experimental load bearing system made for the cavalry. This is a rare set up that was changed in 1874 to a different buckle system. This belt is in good solid codition still flexible. There is one leather tab that is missing from teh right side of the belt. Also the two brass belt loops that should be in back. Overall a great rare piece. This belt can be found in the book "American Military Belts" written by Stephen Dorsey.
