This is a good WWII US Army canteen cover that is British made and dated 1944. The canteen is in overall good condition with a few minor scuffs and a few small holes. Also one of the two "male" side of the lift a dot snaps, the tip has broken off. It will still snap if you push it far enough down but is not functioning as original. It is marked inside the cover "M.E. Co 1944 British Made." The overall color has slightly more light green color to it and the interior has an unusual green felt which is typical of some British made items.
