This is an nice WWI German butcher blade bayonet and scabbard combo made in 1917 by the Fichtel & Sachs Co in Schweinfurt. The bayonet is in good + condition with a fair amount of pitting/ damage to the scabbard. They bayonet has a nice bright blade with a fair amount of area with shadowing and staining especially towards the tip. The blade was also sharpened at one time. Overall a nice example of a hard to find bayonet.
