SW-309 Civil War M1840 Non-Commissioned Officers Sword.

The sword is in very good condition, with the scabbard being in good (repaired) condition. The sword was manufactured by the Ames Sword Co. and is dated 1864, also has an inspectiors cartouche (GWC). The blade is beautiful! The brass fittings are nicely tarnished and uncleaned. The leather scabbard is good, showing moderate age it has an old tape repair (hard to see) near the tip. Typically these leather scabbards are missing as they do not usually last.
