Item #19230
This is a Late 1930's Civilian Conservation Corps hat badge. The badge is in excellent condition and includes its motto "Semper Patria Mea". The badge is marked on the back acid test which possibly means that it was gold plated. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a public work relief program that operated from 1933 to 1942 in the United States for unemployed, unmarried men from relief families as part of the New Deal. Originally for young men ages 1823, it was eventually expanded to young men ages 1728. Nice hat badge.
