Item #22604
This newspaper front cover contains info about the death of President Harding. What is really interesting about this piece is that written on the top is a personal account of where they and their family were when they heard the news. It reads "Thursday Evening - August 2, 1923. We were in the theatre at a performance of "Lokay(?) and Eva" with the *not distinguishable* Sisters. Willie, Bob, Evelyn, *Fletcher?* dad, mother, and *not distinguishable.* We heard the news...after his death occurred...soldiers left at this time..."
