UM-304, WWI USN Sailor's Grouping from the "Peace Cruiser" USS Galveston C-17

Commissioned in 1905, the 3200 ton cruiser saw service with the Asiatic Fleet during the First World War. These items belonged to 2nd class boatswains mate Neal, who honorably served aboard her. Mounted in a contemborary 37 by 17 inch (approx) wooden frame. Items include: souvenir ships pennant, his Navy rate patch, nine black and white photos (approximate 5 inches by 3 1/2 inches) of the ship and crew, a Liberty Pass and a window card from his parents home showing he was serving in the Navy, other misc. items in frame as well. All items in Good to Very Good condition. A nice display.
