UM-307, WWII to Vietnam War US Marine Corps Brigadier General Jay Hubbard Briefcase Grouping

BG Jay Hubbard was a "mustang" rising from pre-WWII private all the way to Brigadier General in his 30 year career. During that time he served in a gun crew on a battleship (USS Mississippi), was a Marine Raider officer during WWII and a fighter pilot in Korea and Vietnam! He flew 165 combat missings and among other awards received the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and Purple Heart. After retiring he was Chief of Police in Memphis Tennessee for 3 years. He has since passed on. Items include: -Leather briefcase named to Gen. Hubbard. Very Good condition, moderate wear. -Vietnam War era type A-D military watch (not working) -FIghter Group commemorative watch (not working) -Vietnam War era (5-65) dated military watch(not working) -Room key from hotel Tour Hassan (Rabat Morocco). Interesting French made key on heavy brass star medalion. -Private purchase "marbles" brand survival compass. -Generic private purchase aviator style sunglass (2 pair) -2 81/2 by 11 inch sketches by renowned aviation artist RG Smith, signed in pencil to Gen. Hubbard. -"Secret" 1952 staff study on Turbo-Prop vs Turbojet aircraft. -Program for change of command ceremony 4th MAW with Hubbard taking command. -State of Tenessee 3 inch Senior Pilot Wings in case. -Souvenir program with artifacts from closing of MCAS El Torro. -"Red Devils" Marine F's 232 Operating Procedures / Tactical Doctorine 1958. -Vietnam Era pen flare gun (unmarked brass) with 7 1964 dated flares in nylon rigger pouch. -1962 dated US whistle -USMC Westpac 96 change of command coin. -USMC VMF 214 "Black Sheep" challenge coin. -Bag with approximately 50 misc. pins, tie clasps, etc, most are USMC or military motif (includes 2 generals stars).
