UMZ-0001 1979 Dated Nylon Parachute

This parachute measures about 28ft across and weighs about 9lbs. Most of the Para cord has been cut off. There are 3 spots on the parachute where someone has sprayed it with silver spray paint. There is a manufacture stamp along the edge which reads; "Date of MFR. Apr. 1979.  Serial No. DA79208896". This chute may be unusable, but the material still has many purposes. According to the AAF Manual No. 60-1, on Emergency Uses of the Parachute, you can use it to make slings, shelters, bed rolls, fishing nets, and more.
