Item #18976
Dated November 1969. US Vietnam Era PSID Seismic Intrusion Detector Set. Each unit has a flexible metal tape antenna and a six foot weather proof wire connected to a geophone. They run on one or two 9-volt transistor radio batteries and transmit a pulsed signal to a receiving device upon the detection of vibration ie, personnel, vehicle movement or other. These were widely used in the Vietnam war to detect troop movements. The sets transmit on various frequencies. The detectors transmit a series of beeps (each unit sends a different number of beeps). New in original box.
