Item #21825
First used in WWI, then WWII, but unpopular by the time of the Vietnam War. Originally designed in 1917 by Army Capt. Robert L Queisser. Usually with 1 or 2 stars denoting of # of children in service. Blue stars denote forces engaged in war or hostilities. Gold stars represents killed in action. Manufacture of these flags only permitted in US and by Gov. License. Replaced by Silver Star Banner. Features 16 star patches on front, 10 on back. Minor holes throughout due to aging. Most likely used by an organization to honor their service members.
