Item #19225
This is an interesting named grouping to SGT Walter Snider. He worked as a machinist before the war at the Mare Island Naval Station and later enlisted into the Army 19 September 1942. Included in the grouping are his discharge papers some of his personal paper work about his previous jobs at the Shell Oil Refinery as well as Mare Island Naval ship yard. There is also a letter dated 8 OCT 1944 addressed to Mr. Snider requesting him for work at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. This is an interesting grouping talking about his life. Also included are his four pocket service jacket. It is not named to him but came along with his other items. It is a size 39L and shows some minor storage staining with only minimal moth damage. Additionally there are two overseas caps, one khaki and one wool along with a badly mothed wool armband, his dog tag, citizen ID tag, and miscellaneous other small items. A nice grouping all belonging to one man soldier.
