UWU-0109 Pre WWII US Army M1926 transitional Officers Service Coat (NAMED)

Item #20158

Pre WWII US Army M1926 transitional Officers service coat dated 9 November 1928.  This coat is a very well made coat of very distinctive looking fabric.  The fabric almost looks closer to a WWI style of wool weave than WWII.  The coat was tailor made by Chas Grissler in Phoenix, Arizona and has a nice tailor tag outside the inner breast pocket.  Inside the pocket there is another tailors tag with the date and a name "J M McKinley."  I was not able to find any background for him but that means that this would then be a great research project!  The coat is in excellent condition with only one small (pin head sized) moth nip hole in the right cuff.  The coat is also an approximate size 41R.  Still retains a set of screw back US collar devices on the lapels.  Overall nice early dated and named coat!
