Item #20541
This is a nice early WWI era US M1902 sword that was manufactured by The M.C. Lilley Sword Co. in Columbus, OH. The sword and scabbard are in decent shape overall. The scabbard and guard on the sword have some minor pitting showing through the nickle plated finish but does not detract overall. There is one spot which has worn on the scabbard which is about 2" by 1" just above the lower hanger loop. The area has worn through the finish and has a brown patina spot. The etched blade is in beautiful condition with 95% of the original finish and appearance to it. The handle is made of wood and painted black.
