The German 77mm shell casing is dated Nov 7, 1917, The brass is inscribed "Gedenkenis Van Denoorlog", which is Flemish (Belgian) for "In memory of the war". This is in good condition and measures approximately 9 inches tall and 3.5 inches at the base. Nicely tooled floral design with shield and flags. Artist signed and initialed it on the base.
