NWP-0001 WWII Dutch Air Raid Sign Printer's Block
Item #22875
Good condition. Non-metallic metal printers block. Plate has been removed from wooden block. Has two small nail holes in top edge and the two bottom corners have been cut out for placement into a guide. Approximately 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. Has Dutch words "Gevaar" which means Danger or Peril in English, and "Luchtbescherming" which means Air Raid Precautions in English. Interesting piece of history that may possibly have been made by occupying German armies during WWII for printing for Dutch civilians.
