The same style was worn by both officers and enlisted men. The difference being that the officers used theirs for whistles and the enlisted men used theirs for pocket knives. The lanyard ran from the epaulette to inside the tunic pocket where the whistle or pocket knife was stowed. VG condition. Maroon color for paratroopers.
